                   CHAPTER 6

Soldier

In this day & age do we still need wars?  Do nations go to war to protect their geo-political boundaries or something else?  If the leaders who declare wars are forced to come and fight it, will we ever have another war?

I'm sure there are more ways to generate employment and use public money than to devour lifes and limbs of our young!

Sample:

As GD looked up, he saw Mira’s parents standing on the other side of the border. Her father was a solider, like him-self, on the other side. The looks on their faces spoke volumes. GD’s reputation was known even in the enemy camp, and the fear clearly reflected on the father’s face. The mother was in tears, as if she had lost her child forever. They both stood right across the border transfixed, unable to cross the line drawn on the ground.

The soldiers on the enemy side pulled up their guns and walked toward their colleague and closer to the border. They were ready to attack if that was necessary to get the girl back on to their side.
